Western Seeds Ireland Ltd. is part of the Western Seeds Group. It was set up post-BREXIT specifically to facilitate the supply of organic and conventional seeds from its parent company, Western Seeds, to customers in Ireland.
Western Seeds is a leading specialist independent seed company with a long history of supplying quality seed to Ireland. Western Seeds, via Western Seeds Ireland, continues to supply customers with quality seed and provide them with expert farm consultancy to maximise their farm's profitability.
Our aim has always been to provide our customers with the highest quality seed at the most competitive price. This aim continues to drive everything we do.
Western seeds has no vested interests in particular varieties, nor are we tied to any particular supplier, giving us the freedom and independence to select the best varieties for our mixtures.
As you would expect, we operate very strict batch controls and conduct regular germination tests. We will never compromise on quality.
We continue to be a practical, hands-on company, spending many hours out in the fields examining leys, discussing with farmer customers and conducting field trials.
This hands-on approach has given us in-depth knowledge of the variable situations, conditions and challenges our Irish customers face.
Field trials are conducted at Western Seeds own trial site and at selected farms. The results of these trials and the knowledge we have gained out in the field are used to shape the variety of products we offer to Ireland.
We are not simply order takers but take a personal interest in each and every enquiry.
We can provide advice, where needed, on farm management, rotations, seed varieties and all relevant queries. Our friendly, informed, practical, experienced staff are here to help our customers select the best, most appropriate product for their particular circumstances.
